Will To Go wheelchair-accessible transport service in Jodhpur

Will To Go, a Jodhpur-based mobility initiative, is providing dedicated wheelchair-accessible transportation across Jodhpur, offering ramp-equipped vehicles, trained drivers and simple booking to meet the everyday travel needs of wheelchair users, senior citizens and people with limited mobility. The service focuses on safe, dignified and independent travel for local residents.

What is Will To Go?

Will To Go is a local transport service that operates wheelchair-friendly vehicles — including specially modified e-rickshaws, vans and taxis — built to enable passengers to board while remaining in their wheelchairs. The initiative’s core aim is to remove transport barriers that prevent people with mobility challenges from accessing healthcare, markets, airports and social activities in Jodhpur.

Why Will To Go Was Started

Will To Go was founded by Sagar Vyas, a resident of Jodhpur who is himself a wheelchair user. Sagar is affected by muscular dystrophy, a rare and progressive neuromuscular condition that significantly impacts mobility. Through his own daily experiences, he encountered the practical challenges faced by wheelchair users in a city where accessible transportation options are extremely limited.

Simple activities such as visiting a hospital, traveling to the airport, or attending social events often required excessive planning, physical assistance, and dependency on others. Conventional taxis and auto-rickshaws were largely inaccessible due to high steps, narrow doors, and the absence of ramps. These repeated difficulties highlighted a critical gap in Jodhpur’s urban transport system.

Rather than viewing accessibility as a limitation, Sagar Vyas chose to address the problem directly. Will To Go was born out of this lived experience — not as a charity initiative, but as a practical, dignity-focused transportation solution. The goal was clear: to create a service that allows wheelchair users and senior citizens to travel safely, comfortably, and independently within Jodhpur.

By designing vehicles that accommodate wheelchairs and by training drivers to assist passengers respectfully, Will To Go reflects the founder’s belief that accessible mobility is a basic right, not a privilege.

How it started

Will To Go introduced Jodhpur’s first wheelchair-accessible e-rickshaw and has been publicising real-world use cases — from hospital visits to airport drops — via local outreach and social media. Early demonstrations and community posts highlighted the vehicle design and ramp access, signaling a grassroots start focused on practical demonstration and word-of-mouth bookings.

Facilities & Services — Detailed Overview

Will To Go’s services are designed around common, recurring travel needs in Jodhpur:

Drivers are trained to assist with boarding and securing wheelchairs, ensuring punctual, stress-free trips to medical facilities. This service addresses a major barrier to healthcare access.

  • Airport Transfers: Ramp-enabled airport pick-ups and drop-offs designed to make travel to and from Jodhpur Airport seamless for passengers using wheelchairs. The service promises timely pick-ups with vehicles suitable for luggage and mobility aids.

  • Senior-Friendly Journeys & Daily Travel: Short city rides for shopping, family visits or civic errands with patient, supportive drivers and an emphasis on dignity and safety. Regular schedules and reliable local coverage mean routine tasks become achievable without constant caregiver support.
